Lower Back Pains

Each year 15 to 30 percent of the population experience lower back pains. For many, lower back pain results in extreme distress and the inability to live a normal life. For persons under the age of 45, lower back problems are the most common reason for disability. Often the treatments given are inappropriate and don’t produce the desired results. More and more scientific research is available that shows that chiropractic care is the safest and most effective solution to lower back pains.

Adjustments made by your chiropractor can reduce your pain without surgery or drugs. It’s usually best to treat lower back pain with spinal manipulation in conjunction with mild exercise in the first four weeks that the symptoms occur in. Over the counter pain medication can be used, but oftentimes is not needed. It’s very important to resume normal activities as soon as possible. More than four days of bed rest can be counterproductive to your healing.

Chiropractors have the most education and experience when it comes to spinal manipulation, and they are dedicated to helping the body heal. They will also help you to develop an exercise program that will help you recover as quickly as possible while avoiding further injury.

Different causes of lower back pains include improper sitting or lifting, trauma, over-exertion, or inherited spinal abnormalities.
